EUS App



The EUS App dedicated to endoscopic ultrasound education by Drs Shyam Varadarajulu, Paul Fockens and Robert Hawes has been recently revised with several new features. The App is now compatible with not only iPhones but also iPads, Android devices and Tablet. Currently, there are 1540 registered users worldwide.



The key features of the revised EUS App are (1) Teaching videos (with audio) on how to perform Diagnostic EUS (new video on fine needle biopsy), (2) Teaching videos (with audio) for Interventional EUS (new video on hepatogastrostomy and celiac plexus block), (3) Video Atlas (no audio) of common diseases (YouTube straemed), (4) Lecture slides: device can be connected to a projector and the slides be used for lectures, (5) What is New in EUS: updated quarterly literature review on the latest developments, (6) Cytopathology section: a dedicated video lecture teaching endosonographers how to process and interpret FNA specimens will be streamed from YouTube and lecture slides on cytopathology, (7) Educational Resources section: provides information on TNM cancer staging, role of antibiotics and anticoagulation in EUS-FNA/interventions and medication dosages for celiac plexus interventions and, (8) Conferences: information on meetings dedicated to EUS.

Tips for best viewing of the videos in the EUS app: (1) On all platforms: The Video Atlas items are best viewed on a wifi network. The connection speed does impact the video quality. (2) On the iPad: The videos can be viewed in full-screen in any orientation by pressing the double-sided arrow at the bottom right of the video. (3) On the Android: The videos are best viewed on devices that have higher screen resolution. The Diagnostic and Interventional videos will automatically play in landscape orientation for best viewing. The Video Atlas items are played in the YouTube player, and are best viewed in landscape and with HQ selected.


The App will be periodically updated and revised. Future developments will include sections dedicated to Endobronchial Ultrasound (EBUS), Updated videos and literature review. We appreciate any feedback you can give for improvement of this EUS App.

виртуальные исследования - это, конечно здорово... Мне представляется, вы занимаетесь подобными исследованиями, в частности, эндоректальной сонографией (ЕRUS) в реальности. Имеется ли у Вас опыт работы с несколько устаревшей уже соносистемой Hitachi EUB5500?

Здравствуйте!
Трансректальными US исследованиями я не занимаюсь. Технику только начал осваивать. В базовой стойке Fujinon стоит US аппарат Hitachi 7000. Сегодня лечу в Москву, а затем в Европу учиться работать на нем.

Уважаемый Felix, завидую тому,что у Вас подобная техника уже десятилетия,а здесь её только начинаем осваивать. И не факт,что сможем в дальнейшем периодически оснащать российские клиники новой техникой.В следующем году финансирование здравоохранения сокращают на 10%. В дальнейшем урезание финансирования будет только расти
