fracture site with 5-7 cc of 1% or 2% Xylocaine without epinephrine, with the
point of entrance of the needle being the volar side. This is in contrast to most
descriptions in the literature, which report on the infiltration being done
through a dorsal needle puncture. One may find, however, that the impacted,
dorsal cortex may not permit the needle to enter the fracture site easily. A
